Top Signs You’re an Introvert

As long as I can remember I have always been shy and introverted. Remember in my hello post yesterday how I said that I am very private and can’t believe I stepped out of my shell to do this blogging thing? Well #22 on the list in this article from Huffingtongpost.com yesterday confirms this:

22. You’re a writer.

Introverts are often better at communicating in writing than in person, and many are drawn to the solitary, creative profession of writing. Most introverts — like “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling — say that they feel most creatively charged when they have time to be alone with their thoughts.

Maybe this is the confirmation that I needed from the universe that starting this blog may have not been such a bad idea after all. I remember in elementary school I loved writing, especially poetry, but lost that love as I grew older. Maybe its time to fall back in love with writing and expressing myself in a new way.

Did you know that performers like Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera and Emma Watson all identify as introverts, and an estimated 40 percent of CEOs have introverted personalities? Do you identify with some or all of the signs? Check out the full article below.

Thank you for helping me gradually come out of my shell!

  1. Ha! This sounds just like me! I sometimes can’t believe I’ve had the guts to blog and put my thoughts out there for anyone to read and comment on, but it’s actually pretty fun! I hope you keep blogging 🙂

  2. Wow, Lady Gaga, Christina Aguliera—- I would have never guessed that they were introverts. It’s amazing how some introverts are able to do things that many other introverts find exhausting (such as be around crowds, entertain others, supervise others). I am definitely an introvert, and work much better in solitude. “Fun” for me is not necessarily a party or anything, but a quiet walk in a garden. When I was younger, I used to wish I was more outgoing, but I have grown to accept and love the way I am.
I see that you are coming out of your shell nicely. I will be catching up on your posts.(I have a special Autumn blog post coming up soon on my blog. Hope to see you there…:+)
