Top Signs You’re an Introvert

As long as I can remember I have always been shy and introverted. Remember in my hello post yesterday how I said that I am very private and can’t believe I stepped out of my shell to do this blogging thing? Well #22 on the list in this article from Huffingtongpost.com yesterday confirms this:

22. You’re a writer.

Introverts are often better at communicating in writing than in person, and many are drawn to the solitary, creative profession of writing. Most introverts — like “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling — say that they feel most creatively charged when they have time to be alone with their thoughts.

Maybe this is the confirmation that I needed from the universe that starting this blog may have not been such a bad idea after all. I remember in elementary school I loved writing, especially poetry, but lost that love as I grew older. Maybe its time to fall back in love with writing and expressing myself in a new way.

Did you know that performers like Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera and Emma Watson all identify as introverts, and an estimated 40 percent of CEOs have introverted personalities? Do you identify with some or all of the signs? Check out the full article below.

Thank you for helping me gradually come out of my shell!

Standard

Hi, I’m Christie. I am currently a part-time stay at home mom to a 3- year old and wife of seven years. I currently live in Central Virginia and have lived here all of my life. I am passionate about all things relating to living and raising a family naturally. As a busy wife and mama, I am also pursuing a Bachelors in Science in Health and Wellness from Kaplan University online. I have about 8 more classes to go. Once I am done, I would love to become an alternative health and wellness coach.

As an African-American woman, I am troubled by the predominate media stereotypes of other women of color, in particular the Black woman, especially as it concerns marriage and family. Therefore, I am committed to doing my part to normalize the perception of Black women as highly educated, health-conscious wives and mothers with stable families.

I will also feature information relevant to those in interracial relationships, another topic that is close to home as my husband and I are in an interracial marriage.

I have wanted to give this blog thing a try for a while now, but am extremely private and didn’t know where to start. Here goes to overcoming my shyness! Hope you enjoy and are entertained and enlightened.
